This is an unusual bike with great provenance from the UK’s oldest bike brand.
Pearson are the world’s oldest bicycle shop. They were founded in 1860 when Thomas Pearson set up business as a blacksmith. By 1880 following his love of bicycles for over 10 years the shop started selling bike parts that ultimately let to the production of bicycles frames.
Despite the business being the oldest bike shop it is NOT the oldest brand which happens to be the Italian company Bianchi who started producing complete bikes is 1885.
By 1890 Pearson started producing complete bikes and still do to this day. Their range include singlespeeds, road bikes, adventure bikes, commuters and framesets.
Pearson began producing road bikes in 2000 and now has a reputation for building super quality bikes that offer something unique. Their individuality ensures they have a cult following which they have earnt over the last 10-15 years.
Our ‘Pave’ model is likened to Specialized’s Roubaix / Ruby models. It offers comfort and speed as well as lightness. Available as a frameset as well as a complete build we have custom built our bike with a full SRAM Apex groupset that we have married with a set of Mavic Aksium wheels. Finishing kit is from Italian brand 3T with a matching Italian saddle.
The makeover is finished off with new bar tape and tyres, both of which are colour co-ordinated.
The bike has only had 1 previous owners ( from new ) hence the condition of the bike is exceptional. The bike has been given a full service and is ready to ride.
