This is a very good bike that offers exceptional value for money.
The Tifosi range of bikes is vast with their particular area of expertise in building very good winter bikes, that are available in aluminium and carbon. They are designed in the UK, with a very strong Italian influence with many of their bikes assembled under the Campagnolo wing.
This model, the ‘Corsa’, was a direct competitor to the acclaimed Specialized Roubaix and Giant Defy but offered the added benefits of having mudguard mounts and wide tyre clearances. It is quite rare to find a carbon bike that has fitments for this with the added advantage of the option to fit a rack.
We have custom built this bike using an array of new and used parts. We decided that a full Shimano 105 groupset would suit this type of bike as it offers tremendous reliability. We have then colour matched the finishing kit with Italian Deda components and a Fizik saddle.
This bike may have been spec’d with a full Italian build when new but we felt that the parts and spec that we have used are far superior to the standard build, with the sum of the parts both better and more expensive. We have built it how a rider would like to ride it! (With the handlebars, stem, wheels and tyres worth almost £500 alone)
To enhance the World Championship colours we have used a set of Halo Aero wheels fitted with Italian Vittoria tyres in a wider 28′ size. Both of these fitments are much better than the standard build that reinforces the overall quality of the ride. The wheels gain excellent reviews for their strength and quality.
The bike has been refurbished; fitted with a new chain, cassette and bar tape. It has replacement brake pads, new cables and fitted with (as previously mentioned) very good quality tyres.
The result of which is a very capable bike that is equally as good as any long distance sports tourer with the benefits of a winter bike.
