BMC are a Swiss brand established in 1994.
Being Swiss they have a reputation for producing extremely high quality products that they say “Designed by Bike Geeks. Built by Machines. Pushed to the limits by the World’s Fastest Athletes”
BMC keep a lot of their innovation and quality TOP SECRET keeping their entire production process (from inception to completion) in their advanced lab in Gretchen, Switzerland.
They pride themselves in attention to detail with each frame produced to the highest quality. The brand, therefore, has a very loyal following reinforced by the athletes that ride their bikes. These include Cadel Evans, Taylor Phinney, Thor Hushovd and mountain biker Julien Absalon.
Our particular model within their Sports Line category is the ‘Road Racer’, which is essentially their ‘jack of all trades’ bike making it a great allrounder. What is typical with most of the BMC range is their distinctive build and larger than life tubing that sets them apart from other brands. These bikes are quite rare in the UK as they were not imported into the UK in big numbers, hence it has now become very desirable.
What makes this bike so appealing is it’s excellent spec list, that includes a full Shimano 105 groupset.
To further enhance the overall quality of the bike it comes fitted with a pair of DT Swiss wheels. These wheels have a great reputation within the cycling fraternity and it was BMC that first started fitting them as standard to their bikes.
We have upgraded the bike in a couple of key areas, namely in fitting a better saddle and new tyres. The bike is completed with fresh new bar tape.
Ultimately what you have is an extremely well-spec’d bike that is both rare and incredibly desirable.
