We are very proud to be offering this wonderful bike for sale.
Our Trek Emonda is Trek’s lightest bike within the range. It uses their 700 series ultralight carbon fibre that only appears on their top-of-range models. Not only is the bike regarded for its extremely lightweight frame but its prowess as an aerodynamic bike too.
It is paired with the unmistakeable purple / grey pearlescent colour scheme being one of Trek’s Project 1 colours. The frame is extremely shiny, reinforced by the sparkle effect within the paint. As the light changes so does the colour of the bike! This type of frame quality is very hard to replicate and only a few models in the range have this attention to detail.
The `SLR` is regarded as one of the best race bikes on the market with this particular model offering an extremely good spec. The bike has a full mechanical Shimano Ultegra groupset that is mated to Shimano’s Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes.
We have given the bike a light refurbishment but most importantly upgraded some of the key components; but moreover invested in fitting the bike with better wheels.
With such an excellent frameset we felt that the bike was deserving of a lightweight pair of wheels to compliment the quality and feel of the bike. We have replaced the heavier/standard Bontrager Paradigm wheels with a BRAND NEW pair of carbon Bontrager Aeolus Pro 3 wheels. These wheels transform the ride to another level allowing the bike instant power when climbing and accelerating. They are then paired with Vittoria’s excellent Rubino Pro tyres in the wider 25′ width for their allround abilities.
To complete the build, and to add a bit of ‘Bling’ to the bike, we have fitted Shimano Pro’s super pearlescent bar tape to match the super colour of the frame.
The overall condition of the frame is good, with only a few blemishes here and there, the most notable being a chip on the top tube. There is minimal wear and tear as befits a bike that was only used as a ‘best bike’. Our refurbishment far outweighs any shortfalls the bike may have considering a bike of this stature would cost over double of our asking price. With the current pricing structure of new bikes this bike FRAME retails for £3850 alone!!
