This is a very unique bike as there are not many about. It is extremely rare as not many Eddy Merckx bikes are imported into the U.K especially women’s specific ones, Eddy Merckx bikes have a massive following and are very popular in their native country of Belgium. As mentioned above they are not widely available but offer a great level of performance by comparison to a lot of larger, more established manufacturers such as Trek, Giant or Specialized.
The Eddy Merckx brand has great provenance and offers a superb product. They have a whole host of bikes within their range available in both aluminium and carbon as well as having men’s and women’s specific bikes. They have also been used as Team bikes within the Pro Peleton circuit.
This particular model is their women’s specific carbon fibre model. The bike comes well spec’d with a full Shimano 105 groupset and FSA finishing kit.
It is very unusual for a bike to be spec’d with a full groupset thus making this bike very appealing. To enhance the spec Merckx have also spec’d the bike with a carbon Team Issue stem and seatpost thus improving the spec in the minor details. The carbon seatpost will also improve the comfort of the bike too. This model is fitted with a very well respected pair of Fulcrum factory wheels that we have fitted with brand new upgraded Vittoria tyres. The bike has been lightly upgraded, refurbished and serviced and is ready to ride. With a good groupset matched with a super pair of wheels the bike rides very well and is enhanced by the subtle upgrades that we have added. The bike has been finished off with Arundel Rubber Gecko quality bar tape, that is both comfortable and durable.
