This is a very good bike and represents excellent value for money.
What makes this bike so nice is how it looks. The bike is in very good condition since it was very well looked after by its previous owner, who owned it from new. It has been fitted with protective helicopter tape on the bikes downtube and other parts of the frame.
The Trek Madone has a superb reputation and is highly regarded as one of the best models in the range. It is known for its handling and comfort and ‘Bike Radar’ voted the 3.5 model (which shares the same frame) as runner-up in Bike of The Year in 2015. It is available in both men’s and women’s guises with this model being the WSD 3.1 derivative.
This model is at the inexpensive end of the range and yet still offers a very good spec.
The bike is fitted with a Shimano 105 gearing as well as a SRAM chainset and Tektro brakes both of which were standard fit on this model.
The bike has been fully serviced and comes fitted with replacement and / or new pads, new cables, new chain and cassette. The bike now has a wider-ranging 11-32 cassette allowing the rider a greater range of gears, enabling them to tackle the steepest of hills.
The seatpost is an aftermarket upgrade as we wanted the bike to have a straight post thus offering the bike with ‘better’ comfort.
To finish we have fitted the bike with brand new upgraded Vittoria tyres and replaced the bar tape giving the bike a fresh new feel.
The bike also has fitments for a rear mudguard thus making it a proposition for use as a winter bike.
