This is a fantastic bike that would be ideally suited as a ‘Sportive` bike.
The Avail is the women’s road version in the Giant range that is similar to the Defy or (in some modes) the racier TCR.
This particular model is regarded as the sportive model within the range and similar in stature to the very popular men’s Defy model. The bike is light and comfortable as it is made from Giant’s Aluxx aluminium.
The frame is in fair to good condition with a few marks showing wear and tear. There are a couple of marks on the frame here and there, as well as on the forks, where the bike has been leant up.
The bike comes fitted with an almost full Shimano 105 groupset as well as a number of in-house Giant Connect parts. We have upgraded the bike with a pair of Mavic CXP 22 wheels that are a great improvement over the stock Giant PR – 2 wheels. The standard Giant wheels are one of the bikes weak-points and it is one the areas that we felt required upgrading. Hence the wheels essentially make the bike ride much nicer, reinforced by the brand new Schwalbe Lugano tyres. The wheels are lighter than the stock ones, but more importantly considerably faster and much better than the standard Giant factory wheels, with the added benefit of the tyres that offer improved handling and comfort.
To enhance the ride and overall feel of the bike we have fitted the bike with brand new and super comfy (high-end) Vel Pro ‘Snake Tape’ bar tape. This bar tape improves the comfort levels on the hands as well as being quite rugged and long-lasting.
A slightly wider cassette allows for a bigger range of gears complimented by a new chain and replacement brake pads.
The bike also has a super colour scheme made that much nicer by the new (colour co-ordinated) Selle Italia saddle and bar tape that gives it greater kerb appeal and would make any new owner very happy.

This bike would be an excellent investment for someone looking for a bike that offers performance and comfort. We have upgraded it in a couple of key areas and as such it is a joy to ride it. It is a worthy competitor to the Specialized Dolce or Trek Lexa in terms of speed and comfort.
It offers any new owner the joy of having a high spec’d bike for a great price.
