CINELLI are a little known Italian brand that specialises in a whole spectrum of bikes. From singlespeeds, to high-end race bikes; from sports tourers to track bikes – they cover the whole genre.

The brand puts a lot of emphasis into the quality of their frames with a lot of them actually being made in Italy. Often seen as the ‘under the radar’ Italian brand they are less known by comparison to Bianchi, Colnago or Pinarello.

However, the brand has a very loyal following and is seen by some as one of the coolest and hippest brands from Italy. 

This particular model is extremely rare as it is a road bike with great pedigree that wasn’t imported in huge numbers. We don’t know of many other bikes like and it’s rarity makes it very desirable. Equally as good and if not better than the equivalent women’s Bianchi this bike comes with wonderful Columbus tubing that is complimented by a great ‘Tusk’ fork as well as carbon rear stays.  

This makes the ride more comfortable whilst keeping the weight low. 

We decided to custom build the bike with a good spec, without ‘over-building’ it. We have used a quality set of matching Italian made components from Deda and in-house Cinelli for the bikes stem, handlebar and seatpost as well as an Italian Selle Italia saddle. We have then used a full Shimano 105 groupset (RS 500 brake calipers ) mated to a Shimano’s 105 30 speed gearing with a 11-28 cassette on the rear.

The excellent Shimano hubbed wheels come handmade with Mavic’s legendary Open Pro wheels. These wheels are the industry standard in terms of quality and build and come fitted with super-looking Hutchinson tyres; the result of which is a very surefooted bike.  To complete the build we have fitted the bike with a colour co-ordinated Italian Kuota bar tape.  

The bike has been built within the last few days and has a brand new bike feel. Hence the chain and cassette are brand new as is the bottom bracket, which is an Italian fitting. All of the cables and outers are new as are some of the parts.

Overall this bike would be a worthy competitor to any of the modern offerings from either Specialized’s Dolce, Giant’s Avail or Trek’s Lexa models – none of which offer the high spec of the Cinelli or the quality of the frame.

The bikes overall condition is very good and this is reflected in the low wear on the components that are in first class order.
