BMC are a Swiss brand established in 1994.
Being Swiss they have a reputation for producing extremely high quality products that they say “Designed by Bike Geeks. Built by Machines. Pushed to the limits by the World’s Fastest Athletes”
BMC keep a lot of their innovation and quality TOP SECRET with their entire production process (from inception to completion) in their advanced R&D lab in Gretchen, Switzerland.
They pride themselves in attention to detail with each frame produced to the highest quality. The brand, therefore, has a very loyal following reinforced by the athletes that ride their bikes. These include Cadel Evans, Taylor Phinney, Thor Hushovd and mountain biker Julien Absalon.
Our particular bike is one from BMC’s women’s specific range that is made from aluminium. The ‘Pure’ is essentially the female version of the men’s RoadRacer model, but ergonomically suited to a lady.
This bike is extremely rare as it was not imported into the UK in big numbers, hence it has now become very desirable.
The alloy frame is very unique as it offers speed and compliance. As mentioned previously the attention to detail used in production is second to none.
What makes this bike appealing is it’s excellent spec list, that includes a very rare compact triple chainset. This alone makes the bikes extremely good for any type of terrain and may appeal to novice riders.
To further enhance the overall quality of the bike we have upgraded it in a number of key areas. We have upgraded the wheels with a pair of Shimano’s top of the range alloy RS-series wheels, the RS 30. Along with new Schwalbe tyres and a brand new Selle Italia saddle and Shimano bar tape the bike is now a fabulous proposition.
Ultimately what you have is an extremely well-spec’d bike that is both rare and incredibly desirable.
