Argon 18 are a highly respected brand from Canada.
Often thought as a poor mans’ Cervelo (the ‘other’ Canadian brand) that statement is very far from the truth as they were the preferred choice of bike for the Astana Pro Peleton Race Team. Their TT bikes, in particular, are extremely popular and are regarded as one of the best on the circuit.
This model, the Gallium, is the ‘climbing bike’ within the range and was the desired bike of Fabio Aru who used the Pro model derivative bike in the mountain stages of the Grand Tours.
Using running gear completely from SRAM no corners have been cut to build this bike.
Supplied with an almost full SRAM Red groupset the bike has been complimented with a fabulous pair of SRAM S30 Sprint wheels fitted with brand new Vittoria Rubino Slick tyres. These wheels are very light and regarded as one of the best all aluminium wheels on the market. They retail for approximately £700 and feature internal nipples.
By using a SRAM Red groupset the bike is very light. The Gallium is one of the lightest bikes on the market and with the added bonus of the lightest groupset makes this a very agile bike.
The components are made up from Syncros and feature a pair of aero bars as well as a RR2.0 stem and matching saddle. The bike is finished off with high-end Widget bar tape that is colour co-ordinated in black and white that totally compliments the bike.
We have given this bike a full custom build and used a combination of new and lightly used parts to complete the overall package.
The build has been lovingly completed by our in-house Cytech 3 mechanic and as such features brand new cables, inners and outers throughout. It has been fitted with a brand new bottom bracket, new chain and cassette and (as mentioned previously ) new bar tape.
It has a super colour scheme that gives it huge kerb appeal and would make any new owner very happy. Because it’s custom built, it makes the bike that much more unusual and thus a much better proposition to buy than a new bike.
